Jude Law reveals about the recording of “Love Doesn’t Take a Vacation”

The actor Jude Law 51, broke some hearts by sharing behind-the-scenes information about recording the classic romantic comedy “Love Doesn’t Take a Vacation ” (2006).

During a recent interview with BBC Radio, Law spoke about the film being a classic film to watch at Christmas during the holiday season. In “Love Doesn’t Take a Vacation”, the actor plays Cameron Diaz’s love interest and Kate Winslet’s brother in the romantic comedy.

“I think, honestly, it’s glorious,” Law said when assessing the popularity of the film, which was released in 2006, over the years.

So when one of the radio show hosts asked if it was possible to rent the cottage from the film, Jude Law surprised everyone.

“That country house doesn’t exist,” Law replied, causing the people in the room to gasp.

According to the actor, the film’s director, Nancy Meyers, is “a bit of a perfectionist”.

“She walked around that whole area and didn’t find what she was looking for,” he recalled. “So she [alugou] a plot of land, designed [o chalé] and someone built it.”

The scenes inside the house weren’t even filmed in the picturesque English countryside.

“We were recording in the winter here,” said the actor about the recordings that took place in the United Kingdom. “Every time I walked through that door, they cut [a cena] and then we recorded the rest in Los Angeles three months later.”

One of the presenters even joked: “Enough! We don’t want to hear any more! You are ruining [a magia do filme]!”.

“I broke the spell,” Law replied. “Sorry.”
