Judge keeps Chris Brown arrested after an audience about attack on producer

Singer Chris Brown, 36, was placed in custody after the Manchester Court on Friday (16), accused of causing serious bodily injury to what prosecutors described as an “unlocked attack” at a 2023 nightclub.

The American was charged with an incident on February 19, 2023, when the singer reportedly attacked a music producer with a bottle at the Tape nightclub in downtown London.

The artist was arrested at a hotel in Manchester, northern England, on Thursday (15) and appeared to the Manchester Magistrates Court on Friday morning, when prosecutor Hannah Nicholls said Brown committed an “unlimited attack with a gun in a crowded nightclub.”

The R&B star, known for hits such as “Loyal”, “Run It” and “Under the Influence”, is expected to start a world tour next month, including Manchester shows. Chris Brown, a two -Grammy Awards winner, was expected to debut his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour on June 8 in the Netherlands.

District judge Joanne Hirst ordered preventive arrest and, according to the BBC, she told the singer that the case will be transferred to the Southwark Crown Court in London with the next hearing being held on June 13.
