Federal judge Renato Borelli, author of the arrest warrant against former Minister of Education Milton Ribeiro, on Wednesday (22), says he is suffering threats from Ribeiro’s support groups. According to Borelli’s press office, hundreds of threats were registered.
The information was confirmed by the Federal Court. Also according to the press office of Justice, measures to inhibit aggression are already being taken. The investigation requests were forwarded to the Federal Police
The former minister must undergo a custody hearing at 2 pm this Thursday (23). The video of the hearing should then be released. Access to the decisions has already been released to the lawyers involved in the case, according to the Federal Court.
Milton Ribeiro, who was authorized to participate in the hearing virtually, was arrested in an operation by the Federal Police (PF), which investigates the practice of influence peddling and corruption for the release of public funds from the MEC.
Adviser of the Federal Justice stated that it will release the video of today’s hearing after it happens. In addition, the judge has already released access to the decisions to lawyers. He also informed that the judge has been threatened by the ex-minister’s support groups, which is already being investigated.
In addition to Milton Ribeiro, pastors Gilmar Santos and Arilton Moura, lawyer and former MEC advisor Luciano de Freitas Musse and former advisor to the Goiânia City Hall Helder Bartolomeu were arrested.
