Julian Assange lands in Canberra – Fell into his wife’s arms

The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, landed in Canberra, Australia a while ago, where he was enthusiastically received by his wife, Stella, and his father, John Shipton. Assange disembarked from a private jet shortly after 19:30 (local time, 12:30 GMT) and greeted reporters at Canberra Airport before hugging and kissing his wife. He then hugged his father and entered the airport area with his legal team. The 52-year-old Assange’s arrival in Australia marks the end of his judicial odyssey that has lasted almost 14 years, five of which he spent in Belmars maximum security prison and seven years locked up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
