Performances will be held both live, with the participation of digital avatars, and in video format. In a comment for Cointelegraph Don’t Extradite Assange spokesman John Rees stated the following:

“We organized this to give publicity to the case and mobilize people to protest before the court. People should know it’s the 11th hour [финишная прямая]and if Assange is extradited, freedom of the press will be dealt a severe blow.”

In 2019, the founder of WikiLeaks was arrested in the UK. In June 2023, the court rejected his petition to appeal the decision to extradite to the United States.

In this case, Assange faces up to 175 years in prison. The journalist is still being held at Belmarsh Correctional Institution in London. His recorded address will be presented at the rally.
