July begins with a cold sensation in much of Brazil, says forecast

The first day of July will be marked by the feeling of intense cold in much of Brazil, with the exception of the Northeast region.

According to Climatempo, frost is expected in the three southern states. Negative temperatures are expected in the mountainous regions of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.

“The frost condition is high for a large part of Rio Grande do Sul, in the interior of Santa Catarina and cities further south in Paraná, including the capitals Curitiba and Porto Alegre”, Climatempo also reported.

In the south of Brazil, fog is also expected early in the morning in the Itajaí Valley, in Santa Catarina, and on the coast of Paraná.

Wind gusts are expected in the Campanha Gaúcha region and on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul. Winds may reach around 50 km/h.

Weather in the Southeast

The weather is expected to remain cloudy and feel cold in the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as well as the south of Minas Gerias and the south of Espírito Santo. The instability, according to Climatempo, is caused by so-called maritime infiltration, when ocean winds bring clouds to the coast. There may be light rain in these regions on Monday (1).

Heavier rain showers may occur in cities in the interior of São Paulo and the south of Minas.

In Belo Horizonte, the sun should appear between clouds and there is a forecast of rain. The weather will remain stable in the center and north of Minas Gerais, but temperatures may be milder than those recorded last week.

Cold air in the North

Parts of Acre de Rondônia should feel the arrival of cold air in the northern region of the country. The early morning hours may be colder than usual in Rio Branco and Porto Velho, but the sun appears again throughout the day in these capitals, according to Climatempo.

Rain showers are forecast in Amazonas, Roraima and Amapá. Boa Vista can prepare for a storm this Monday.

Central-West has thermal amplitude forecast

This Monday should be marked by thermal amplitude in Mato Grosso. “The day may start with fog in Ponta Porã, the Sete Quedas region and in Corumbá, which may impair visibility. Fog also forms for cities in the southwest of Mato Grosso”, reported Climatempo.

The dawn should be freezing in the south, in the interior of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the south of Mato Grosso and Goiás.

Stable weather in much of the Northeast

The month begins with stable weather in the interior of Bahia, Pernambuco, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and much of Piauí.

There may be light rain in Teresina and on the southern coast of Bahia. Salvador will see an increase in clouds during the day.
