July vacation: SP receives another edition of the graffiti and street art Biennial

for anyone who is in Sao Paulo this month, one of the programs to enjoy the city is to visit the Latin America Memorial to see the 5th International Graffiti Fine Art Biennial , which started this Wednesday (13). The edition marks the first decade of the event’s existence, first launched in September 2010.

To celebrate, the capital of São Paulo receives around 60 artists from different countries who promise to “brighten up the urban art and graffiti scene” here.

The exhibition will transform Galeria Marta Traba, located inside the Memorial, into a showcase for the diversity of street art techniques and styles.

The exhibition space has a thousand square meters and is dedicated to spreading Latin American art and culture.

In addition to the works on display, the Bienal, which runs until August 7, will also offer free programming, with workshops, educational films, dialogue tables and performances.

The event is curated by Binho Ribeiro, one of the forerunners of street art in the country and creator of Graffiti Fine Art. Through the label’s Instagram, it is possible to follow the artists developing their works on the walls and screens of the space.
