75 years ago the Italians chose between monarchy and republic. It was the June 2, 1946 and this date is today that of Republic Day.
THE REFERENDUM

THE VOTE

ON THE DAY OF THE PARTY
The Republic Day was celebrated for the first time on 2 June 1948 with the parade of military forces in Rome. Only once did it not take place in the capital. It was 1961 and 100 years of national unity were also celebrated in Turin.
