“We get older and understand the weight of the things we experienced and how that reflected on our lives. (…) There are bonuses and bonuses. The burdens are sometimes harsh, depending on the intensity of what one experiences”, he begins, speaking to Serginho Groisman .

“We experienced a lot of exposure and, well, all the commitments, the burdens, the gossip and the media stuff that is often heavy for children. At that time, we still didn’t have much of an idea”, he continues, referring to their career as a duo “Sandy & Júnior”.

“There was no filter, children were often treated like adults, so I felt it when I got older. Close to 30, I started to feel a little bit of the thump and I had my heaviest phase. But in pain, we mature a lot, it helped me to center myself and understand and see everything I experienced from another angle.”

In the conversation, Junior says that, when he was a child, he couldn’t see the pressure he was under. “At the time, it was very light, I didn’t notice any of it, I was having fun. I have always been very passionate about my profession, my work. I always felt in my place, doing what I was supposed to be doing.”

Despite this, the singer reveals that, in adult life, he developed Panic Syndrome . “I didn’t know where it was coming from. I went to therapy to get my head around it and understand what was happening inside me, and then I managed to work on it”, he reveals.

In the program, Junior also talks about the prejudice he suffered when he was younger because he liked to dance. “There was a lot of prejudice. It was something a little different, a little new, and then I questioned myself and I took it and really shook it, I didn’t care,” he says, laughing. “This was actually part of some controversies that, at the time, sometimes hurt me. But it’s a maturity thing, it was a different time”, he adds.
