Google has acknowledged a flickering issue that early Pixel 6 Pro owners are complaining about.
The fact is that the more users get their hands on the Pixel 6 Pro, the more complaints about screen flickering when it is locked. For example, this can occur when you partially press the power button – flickering stripes appear on the screen.
Now Google has promised that it will be fixed in the next update. Google notes:
The Pixel 6 Pro may notice small temporary artifacts on the display when the device is turned off and when they press the power button with little force, but not enough force to turn it on.
That being said, the Pixel team says the issue is not a hardware issue and that it will be fixed in the December software update for the Pixel 6 Pro. Until the update has been released, Google recommends that users “don’t press all the time” the power button.
In December, apparently, a major software update is expected for the Pixel 6 series, which will fix numerous discovered bugs, shortcomings and the like.
