The Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDJT) has reclassified the murder of the 49 -year -old Ana Rosa Brandão driver, of murder, robbery followed by death for femicide. The decision, on Wednesday (12), concluded after the investigations that the crime was against life and not against the equity.
Antonio Ailton da Silva, 43, stabbed the victim on February 26 after announcing the robbery during a race. Losing control of the vehicle and crashing the car, he fled, but was chased by witnesses.
The suspect is a former pastor and assaulted his former partner and a woman friend the night before the crime. He was eventually arrested near where femicide occurred.
Initially, the crime was investigated as a murder, as the victim’s bag was found far from where the car was, but, according to Antonio’s statement to the police, the driver threw the bag out of the car so that he was not stolen.
The Federal District Civil Police (PCDF) also considered the possibility of femicide, as there was a suspicion that Ana Rosa was strangled beyond being stabbed.
