The Justice of Santa Catarina authorized the Preventive arrest of Sandro Coutinho Machado Junior, suspected of murdering beautician Mikaella Andreia Sagás, 29 . The information was confirmed to CNN by delegate Manoel Galeno, responsible for the investigation.
The victim was found dead with a deep cut in his neck on the night of last Saturday (10), inside his own apartment, in Biguaçu, Greater Florianópolis.
According to the Military Police, there were signs of violence and a lot of blood at the scene. Sandro was seen in a nightclub hours after the murder, according to a witness.
According to the witness’s report, Sandro had a bandage in his hand and said he had ended his relationship with Mikaella. The same witness said he tried to contact the victim, but the message was only viewed at 10:17 am the next day, which raised the suspicion that the man had the young woman’s cell phone.
The Civil Police analyzed the images of the condominium security cameras, which show Sandro leaving the scene with the victim’s car, a Volkswagen Polo. The clothing worn by him, dirty with blood, was found in the box of the bathroom of the apartment. On site, experts also collected a knife, pieces of clothing and a video surveillance camera installed inside the residence.
According to the delegate, Sandro already had several police tickets, including for theft, drug trafficking and vehicle identifier signal tampering. He is also suspected of involvement in a theft of five vehicles that occurred earlier this year in the Beira Mar Norte region of Florianópolis.
So far, Sandro is still a fugitive. Civil Police officers continue to search for the warrant of custody.
