The Justice of São Paulo maintained the freedom of Cristian Cravinhos after Appeal mediated by the São Paulo Public Prosecution Service which tried to revoke the decision of the first instance. The request, with no date yet to be tried, had the merit sent to the second instance.
In a decision issued last Thursday (10), the judge who granted freedom to Cristian Cravinhos did not judge the merits of the appeal presented by the Public Prosecution Service. In practice, the magistrate maintained what had decided and sent the analysis of the merits of the case for the second instance of the São Paulo judiciary. See an excerpt from the decision:

Cristian was convicted of the death of the couple Manfred and Marísia Von Richthofen, which occurred in 2002, and was the last of the three convicts for the crime to acquire the penalty on freedom. Daniel Cravinhos has been open since 2018, while Suzane von Richthofen also fulfills the rest of the sentence in freedom and has been loose since January 2023.

What the Public Prosecution Service says
The prosecutor of São Paulo (MPSP), Gustavo José Pedroza Silva, had already issued an opinion against the progression of Cristian Cravinhos, 48, to the open regime, before the decision.
In the demonstration, Pedroza took into consideration the results of Rorschach’s psychological test to which the defendant was submitted. In the exam was found that cloves presents dysfunctional traits of personality, characterized by emotional stiffness and excessive control .
The prosecutor stressed the severity of the crimes committed by the defendant and concluded that Cravinhos presents “traces of immaturity, with a perception of reality focused on personal issues, from his own perspective of the world, without understanding and taking into consideration the experience of the other (sign of lack of empathy), as well as propensity to realize repressed impulses and take unreasonable and uncontrolled measures”.
What the defense of Cristian Cravinhos says
Cristian was arrested in 2002 and convicted in 2006, with brother Daniel Cravinhos and former scheduling Suzane von Richthofen, a penalty of 38 years and 6 months in prison, for murder of the couple von richthofen parents of the ex-mart.
Sought by CNN Cristian’s defense clarified that the judge upheld his decision, and the appeal will be analyzed by the TJSP . In a statement, lawyers say they expect the decision – no date to happen – maintain the right to freedom.

There has not so far been, negative from justice to the MP’s appeal. The defense expects and trusts that upon judgment of the ministerial appeal, the decision of the first degree, as a measure of justice, is upheld, since all the requirements required by law, for the granting of the open regime, were fulfilled by Cristian.
