Justice of RJ grants parole to goalkeeper Bruno

The Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro (TJRJ) granted parole to goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes in a decision dated Thursday (12). The document is signed by Judge Ana Paula Abreu Filgueiras.

The judge points out that Bruno regularly fulfilled the conditions of house arrest. “If this Court denied the convict to obtain release on the grounds set out by the MP, he would be acting as a positive legislator, erecting a requirement not provided for by law”, says the document.

The decision stipulates that the player needs to appear every three months at one of the annexes of Patronato Magarino Torres, of the Penitentiary Administration Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro, to sign the frequency bulletin and keep his address and activities updated.

Since July 2019, Bruno has been serving his sentence in a semi-open home regime, following a decision by the Justice of Minas Gerais.

The player was sentenced in 2013 to 20 years and nine months in prison, for the crimes of triple murder, kidnapping and concealment of the body of model and ex-girlfriend Eliza Samudio, who disappeared in 2010 at the age of 25.
