The Pernambuco Court unblocked the assets of singer Gusttavo Lima this Thursday (6) in the case involving an investigation into betting houses – the so-called bets.
The investigation is a result of Operation Integration, launched on September 4th by the Pernambuco Civil Police, which aimed to curb crimes of money laundering and illegal gambling.
In the decision of judge Demócrito Reinaldo Filho, from the 4th Criminal Chamber of the Court of Justice of Pernambuco (TJ-PE), he justifies the injunction based on the absence of sufficient elements to justify the extreme blocking measure.
This was the second recent decision in favor of the country artist. Last Tuesday (5), the Court of Justice upheld habeas corpus which prevented the arrest of Gusttavo Lima.
Company unlocking
The decision of the TJ-PE granted an injunction determining the release of the blockade of assets belonging to the company Balada Eventos, owned by Gusttavo Lima.
In his order, the magistrate evaluated the final report of the police investigation, which investigated Balada Eventos for concealing illicit resources.
For Gusttavo Lima’s defense, the new decision “represents an important step towards proving the singer’s integrity and the fairness of all the contracts he signed with betting companies”, says the official position.

The Civil Police of Pernambuco launched Operation Integration at the beginning of September, which culminated in the issuance of 19 arrest warrants and 24 search and seizure warrants in five states, including the arrest warrants for Deolane Bezerra and Gusttavo Lima – who did not reach be arrested.
The action resulted in the blocking of financial assets in excess of R$2 billion from the investigated targets, representing a significant advance in the fight against organized crime in the country.
The main objective of the operation is to curb money laundering crimes and the practice of illegal gambling. According to investigators, the criminal organization under investigation had generated approximately R$3 billion from illicit activities.
Investigators revealed that the operation began in December 2022, after the seizure of approximately R$180,000.
