Justin Bieber will resume his tour after being diagnosed with an illness that left him with partial facial paralysis.
“Justin Bieber RETURNS WORLD TOUR!!!”, published on Twitter the profile of AEG Presents, the company responsible for the tour, this Monday (18).
“Starting in Italy a series of European festivals starting July 31st, then continuing in South America, South Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand and then back to Europe in 2023,” he added. the tweet.
“Details of postponed US shows coming soon!” he concluded.
A representative of Bieber confirmed the news to Variety.
Last month, the singer announced he was pausing his tour because of Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which has left him unable to move half his face.
“This virus attacks my ear nerve and my facial nerves and has caused paralysis in my face,” he said in a video posted to his verified Instagram account.
“As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face; this nostril does not move. So there’s total paralysis on this side of my face,” Bieber said in the video.
He later offered an update on how he was dealing with the rare neurological syndrome, caused by the same virus that can cause chickenpox and shingles.
“Each day got better and, despite all the discomfort, I found comfort in the one who designed me and knows me,” he said.
THE CNN contacted Bieber’s representatives for comment.
