Earlier in the day, the two Undersecretaries of State referred to the excellent level of relations between the two countries, noting the prospects for further strengthening and expanding economic relations in the fields of trade and investment, energy and renewable sources, transport, and tourism. .

The Commission’s work discussed, inter alia, the possibilities of enhancing trade in goods, in particular food, medicine and construction materials. Also, the prospects of direct air connections between Greece and India were examined, following the recent ratification by the Greek Parliament, in February 2022, of the Greece-India air connection agreement signed in 2017.

The Greek delegation included the general secretaries of the Ministry of Education and Religions Apostolos Dimitropoulos, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food Konstantinos Baginetas and the Ministry of Tourism Olympia Anastassopoulou. Also, high-ranking executives from the Ministries of Development and Investment, Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, Health as well as executives of Enterprise Greece, the Civil Protection Authority, EVEA and the Hellenic Cinema Center participated.
