“Greece is moving forward and producing development that concerns all Greek citizens without exception, whether they live in urban centers or in remote Greece” is the message sent by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis, after the end of his tour in the regional unit of Xanthi .
Specifically, Mr. Hatzidakis states in a post on his personal Facebook account the following:
“Dynamic companies that create new jobs in the last three years, with optimistic prospects for the immediate future. Great progress with the reduction of outstanding pensions. Equality for all Greek citizens without exception. These are the three elements that I keep from our tour in the regional unit of Xanthi, which, of course, has problems, but also has great potential. With me the local MP, Spyros Tsiliggiris, the MP from Rodopi, Evripidis Stylianidis, the MP from Trikala, Katerina Papakosta and the MP from Imathia, Tassos Barz.
The great potential of Xanthi is highlighted by our visit to three local production units: the Cooperative Enterprise of Tobacco Producers of Greece (SEKE SA), Sunlight, which deals with energy storage and the Greenhouses of Thrace. Three companies that, in the last three years, despite the difficulties that exist, create many good new jobs and work of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Public Employment Service is to bring the unemployed and businesses closer, in order to accelerate the development.
At the same time, we went to the local address of EFKA. I was very happy with both the work done by the staff and the infrastructure. The Region of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace is the Region with the largest reduction in the stock of outstanding pensions and of course it will be the employees who receive pensions from those who will be rewarded in the near future, because many times I have stressed that those who do well should be rewarded morally their work.
I also visited Pomakochoria. We went to the Echinos Health Center and the village of Pachni and the cooperative of “Pleteno”. There I talked to our Greek Muslim fellow citizens. I had the opportunity to emphasize that Greece is a modern European country, a country of equality and equality and that we embrace and support the Muslim community in the same way we support all other Greek citizens.
I leave Xanthi with a feeling of optimism. “Optimism, because Greece is moving forward and producing development that concerns all Greek citizens without exception, whether they live in urban centers or in remote Greece.”
