K. Hatzidakis: The ‘Digital Communication Room’ will further accelerate the issuance of pensions

“Any improvements in the service with 1555 and the significant reduction of the outstanding pensions are not enough for us”, points out the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis, in a post on his personal Facebook account, announcing the “Digital Room of Communication” between waiting for retirees, which will further accelerate the issuance of pensions.

“We continue the battle at all levels,” says Mr. Hatzidakis.

The following is the entire post of Mr. Hatzidakis:

“We are not putting it down with EFKA! We are continuing the battle at all levels. Now comes the” Digital Communication Room “between EFKA and waiting for retirees, which will further accelerate the issuance of pensions! We are not satisfied with any improvements in service by 1555 and the significant reduction of outstanding pensions.

Together with Panos Tsakloglou, we went this morning to the “headquarters” of EFKA for the payment of pensions, in the so-called Green Building in Kifissia. We had a meeting in the “business room” with the whole team of EFKA (Panagiotis Doufexis, Michalis Kefalogiannis, Alexandros Varveris, Eleni Niarchakou) and the companies that help technically for the performance of pensions. In any case, they are coordinated on a daily basis, in order to quickly implement law 4921/2022 on trust pensions and fast track pensions.

The positive results are already beginning to appear on the horizon and will definitely be recorded in both the end of May and the end of June. The legislation, the technology, the new systems that have been adopted, the new administrative methods of control and of course the efforts of the EFKA employees, are yielding more and more. The pending cases by 2018 are already over, almost all the cases of 2019 and 2020 are finished in less than a month and all the outstanding main pensions will be closed during the summer.

The “Digital Communication Room” will help us a lot in this. It changes the daily lives of both employees and policyholders who are waiting to receive their pension. It will be a digital e-mail database, simple in operation, for exchanging information, answering questions and submitting any missing documents. It is another innovation for EFKA that leads to time savings, better service and faster award of pensions. The citizen avoids queues, delays, even appointments, while he will have in front of him an EFKA, who, due to the electronic recording of data, will be really and unquestionably accountable to him for any unjustified delay and the employee will be significantly calmed down. the warehouses, the warehouses and the administrative chaos in which it operated for decades.

When the “Digital Communication Room” is officially presented in a few days, after the relevant training of the employees, all the citizens will find out that this is another blow to the multi-headed “monster” of the bureaucracy within EFKA. “We are once again using digital modernization to make the state more citizen-friendly and to continue with a system, with perseverance and without taking into account the objections of the supporters of immobility.”
