“Mr. Bernardakis, Mr. Polakis, as well as other SYRIZA executives are carrying out a strategic choice by Mr. Tsipras to bring the political scene into the mud,” argued the member of parliament for the Athens South Sector of the ND, Konstantinos Kyranakis, in a television show of Action24 (G. Pierros) commenting on Bernardaki’s statement about the Minister of Education and added that “when these obscenities are continuous and repeated, they stop being the exception, they become the norm”.
As the ND MP said, despite the apology, such challenges are a strategic choice of Mr. Tsipras. He also mentioned that “the same thing happens with the press representative of SYRIZA, Mr. Iliopoulos, who we saw in the video a few years ago threatening the journalist Yiannis Pretenderis with a home-style slogan. The same thing happens with the well-known vulgar slogans against the prime minister that they are frantically promoting unofficial sources of SYRIZA on the internet. This is SYRIZA, this is what it did in 2010, this is what it did in 2012, it is trying to do the same in 2022. All this is a strategic choice of Mr. Tsipras himself,” added Mr. .Kyranakis, noting that the ND “is not going to follow this downhill and the political confrontation must always be done with arguments of substance”.
