K. Mitsotaki Lunch with CEOs of Young Presidents’ Organization

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, accompanied by his wife Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotakis, attended a working lunch at noon attended by more than 40 CEOs and members of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) of Southern California. YPO is an international business community featuring top CEOs of companies, up to 50 years old from around the world, while the event was organized by the President and CEO of ECOS, Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed the investment opportunities now presented by the Greek economy and pointed out that although tourism is still the flagship of the Greek economy, the sectors that fuel the high growth rates are now much more. He assured of the government’s determination to facilitate investments by facing unnecessary bureaucratic procedures and obstacles. Our “history” is now a history of reform, said the Prime Minister, emphasizing that the country has now finally left behind the difficult years and the painful decade of crisis.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis also referred to the intense interest of foreign companies to invest in Greece, as, as he said, the country is entering a new cycle of sustainable development.

For their part, the CEOs had the opportunity to ask the Prime Minister about how Greece is dealing with the energy crisis, about the prospects of the Greek economy and about the government’s reform plans.
