Today’s Summit, in the framework of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), is the resumption, at a more intensive pace, of the effort to “anchor” the countries of the Western Balkans in the safe port of Europe, as stressed by the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking on the municipal radio of Thessaloniki fm100 and noted that “Greece is returning dynamically to southeastern Europe”.

He said he would also have the opportunity to brief his counterparts on the Turkish provocation, as has been the case in recent weeks, but noted that “in no case is this summit focusing on Turkey.”
“Our interest is focused on Southeastern Europe and the leading role in which Greece, Northern Greece and especially Thessaloniki can play, as a gateway for products, for energy. Regarding the projects in Thessaloniki, Mr. Mitsotakis stressed that the residents of the city “know very well that this government has bowed down methodically and effectively and is completing a series of important infrastructure projects in Northern Greece.”

From now on – and in consultation with the PAOK administration – we have the opportunity to proceed quickly with the projects, to complete the licensing processes. And we are absolutely sure that now the administration will respond and as it has committed to the world of PAOK, PAOK will get the stadium it really deserves. On the issue of university police, the prime minister said the government was not going to take “even a step back”.
