K. Mitsotakis: New discount on natural gas in December and the first quarter of 2022

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis presented his plan for the next 18 months, until the country goes to the polls again.

In an interview with the “Free Press of Sunday”, the prime minister spoke about the burning issue of accuracy and said that DEPA Commerce is considering a new discount for natural gas, while a similar concern will be taken for the first quarter of 2022.

The Prime Minister added that as early as October, DEPA Commerce offers a 15% discount to its suppliers with the commitment to reduce prices for consumers.

Regarding the reductions in the excise taxes, the prime minister commented “everything in its time”. Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that the government initially pledged to reduce real estate taxes, which it did, while later corporate and labor taxes were reduced.

These policies were framed by a network of investment-friendly tax incentives, the prime minister added, stressing that what remains now is tax cuts.

Regarding development, Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted that the aim of the government is to move towards a high and sustainable development for the benefit of the citizens, which will translate into new jobs and disposable income.

Speaking about ENFIA, Mr. Mitsotakis said that the redefinition of objective values ​​will lead to the reduction of the tax. Finally, regarding the increase of the minimum wage in 2022, he said that he is indeed committed in this direction, but added that it is still early to make an announcement.
