“Today, we are redressing a long-standing injustice against distribution workers. From now on, digital platforms must provide them with a motorcycle and helmet for their movements. And also, waterproof protection, gloves and a reflective vest. “If they want to use their own means and equipment, they will be entitled to special compensation,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a Facebook post.
He points out that this employer obligation is defined by the Law on Labor Protection, which, as he characteristically states, was voted by the government despite the demagoguery of SYRIZA.
“Its implementation is the answer of a State that cares for the employee. And that, in difficult times, with wages still low in Greece, tries to alleviate his daily life, expanding his rights. With actions!” adds Kyriakos Mitsotakis
