In July, a bill is being presented to the Parliament, which regulates emerging technologies, stressed the Minister of Digital Government, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, during the conference “Technology Summit: Shaping the digital transition”, organized by Money Review.
As he characteristically stated “we try through this draft law -apart from what it includes as more classic and obvious projects, such as for example the National Register of Procedures of the Greek State, MITOS- to include all the procedures of the Greek state”. As the minister stressed, “this law also includes definitions, for example what is 3d printing, how is it regulated, who in the Greek state takes responsibility for the security of the relevant protocols, regarding artificial intelligence”.
Based on the new draft law, there is a provision “to allow Greek Post Offices to use drones in the islands for a start. As Mr. Pierrakakis pointed out, the ministry’s plans are on the one hand to provide solutions to the challenges and on the other” to ” we do not have a constant lag in various issues which turns into a constant lag. “So very soon the” smart “contracts will be defined, the blockchain, a series of things that it is good not to wait constantly but to experiment”.
Mr. Pierrakakis spoke about two main achievements of this strategy “the first is the proof that the state is changing and the second that the reforms are like transplants, you must be able to have compatibility”.
