K-pop: Jennie, from Blackpink, announces debut album date; find out more

The singer Jennie 29, member of Blackpink, announced this Wednesday (22), the release date of the debut album of his solo career . “Ruby” will arrive on digital platforms on the day March 7 and will feature collaborations with artists such as Childish Gambino , Doechii , Dua Lipa and Kali Uchis .

The South Korean has already released the first single from the project, “Mantra” and promises to explore many genres on the album, which will feature 15 tracks . In addition to digital platforms, “Ruby” was also released in physical versions, including photobooks and an exclusive edition for the North American Target store. The album will also come with “Jennie Only Audio”, a version in which Jennie performs all the vocals alone, without the participation of guest artists.

The album will come before Jennie’s debut at this year’s Coachella, which will have names like Lady Gaga, Charli XCX and fellow Blackpink member Lisa in her line up. The festival will take place on the second and third weekends of April.

“Ruby” is already available for pre-sale on the main audio streaming platforms.
