In an interview with CNN K-Pop TNX group, formed by Tae Hun, Hyun Soo, Jun Hyeok, Sung Jun and Hwi gave details about the creation process of the latest mini-album, “For Real?” Launched April 26.
In a market increasingly influenced by platforms like Tiktok, members made it clear that the search for authenticity comes before any digital trend.
It has been almost three years since TNX debuted in the music world in May 2022, as the first group of K-pop formed by P Nation, an agency founded by none other than Psy, “Oppa Gangnam Style” star.
The members were chosen through the reality show “Loud”, aired in 2021, after winning singing and dance tests.

Challenges of the new release
There was the launch of the digital single “Fuego” in 2024, but the group’s last mini album was “Boyhood”, released in 2022. According to Tae Hun, it was a very important time interval for them.
“This period may seem long, but we go through very intense days, without much clearance. We strive a lot to come back with the best version of ourselves,” he said.
The members participated directly in the composition and letter of the project tracks.
Sung Jun said it was a completely different experience from the previous ones and that they struggled a lot to do their best.
“When we listened to the finished song, it was an indescribable moment, very exciting. It was like seeing a plant that you watered since the sprout finally flourish,” he compared.
But of course, there are challenges at the time of recording and Jun Hyeok says it was definitely the song “At the Moment.”
“It required a very accurate control of emotion and the sensation transmitted,” he said. “We dedicated a lot of energy to capturing it in the best way. I think we made several outlets until we were satisfied. It was a long and very exhaustive recording.”
Music in the Tiktok Era
In an era when digital trends dictate part of musical success, TNX maintains the stance that art comes first.
Hwi was emphatic in saying that even realizing the change in the way people consume music, that has not changed the way they make up.
“We don’t create thinking of viralizing at Tiktok or the algorithm. Instead, we work until the song sounds good to us,” he says.
Home life
Did you know that most K-pop groups share a dormitory at least in the early years of your career? This is the case of TNX.
According to Hyun Soo, they have been living for so long that it is not even more uncomfortable. As for the best cook, elect Hwi.
His “flagships” in the kitchen are traditional Korean foods, such as Kimchi’s stew and Kimchi fried rice.
And Sung Jun assures that there is not much difference in the personalities of the members that fans see in front of the cameras and behind. At most, he sees a change in himself.
“In front of the cameras, I speak more excitedly to communicate better. Out of the cameras, my voice is a little lower and relaxed,” he confides.
Tnx x Brazilian superstitions
In the interview, CNN also challenged TNX members to guess the superstitions and traditions of Brazilian culture. Check it out:
