The President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, in the framework of her official visit to Vietnam, went to Ho Chi Minh, where she was welcomed at the Palace of Independence by the President of the People’s Committee of the city Phan Văn Mãi.
Responding to the address of the President of the People’s Committee at the dinner she gave in her honor, Ms. Sakellaropoulou thanked from the bottom of her heart for the warm hospitality in the city named after the historical leader of the country and expressed the hope that her visit would trigger strengthening ties with Greece, especially in the fields of economic and cultural cooperation.

Yesterday, the President of the Republic laid a wreath at the statue of Ho Chi Minh, while today, concluding her visit, she was given a tour of the Historical Museum of the city, the Temple of King Hung and the Pagoda of Emperor Jade.
