K. Skrekas: Greece is emerging as a pillar of energy security for the entire SE Mediterranean

“Greece, with an organized plan and the implementation of critical infrastructure, is emerging as a pillar of energy security for the entire Southeastern Mediterranean.”

This was noted in a post on twitter by the Minister of Environment and Energy Costas Skrekas on the occasion of his participation today in a wide regional ministerial meeting of 8 countries in Sofia, for energy security and green transition.

Specifically, as the minister states: “I participated today in Sofia in a wide regional ministerial meeting of 8 countries. Greece, with an organized plan and the implementation of critical infrastructure, is emerging as a pillar of energy security for the entire Southeastern Mediterranean.”

Additionally, the minister states on Facebook:

“I participated today, in Sofia, in a wide regional ministerial meeting of 8 countries for energy security and green transition. With an organized plan, we are implementing strategic infrastructure that will offer alternative sources of energy supply, at a critical juncture.

“The deepening of regional cooperation and the integration of energy markets will strengthen the energy autonomy and competitiveness of the countries in the region.”
