This was underlined by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Costas Skrekas, defending the amendment that provides for the suspension of the charges of the Utility Services in the PPC bills for five months and the payment of the gas bills, in four installments.

“We are taking all necessary measures to support them financially. The government is trying to direct the surpluses to consumers and professionals who have been severely affected by the global energy crisis. But the state’s capacity is limited. It cannot support them directly. “subsidy, because the state subsidy is illegal. However, we can postpone the charges on the bills in the future, when energy prices return to normal levels,” said Mr. Skrekas.
