Electric vehicle startup Kama, owned by Ruben Vardanyan and Kamaz CEO Sergey Kogogin, plans to produce more than 450,000 electric vehicles annually by 2030, according to Vedomosti.
Therefore, Kama can become the most massive electric car in Russia, although so far experts do not see potential demand for such production volumes in our country. It is also noted that part of this volume will be produced in Hungary. Earlier, the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of this country and Kama signed an agreement of intent.

KAMAZ General Director Sergey Kogogin said earlier that the production site for the production of electric vehicles has not yet been determined. According to preliminary forecasts, the new electric car will go on sale in 2024-2025 and will be focused on operation in carsharing and taxis. “We do not intend to compete with the big manufacturers who have already invested heavily. We found a niche for ourselves, identified one that could potentially interest us: taxi, car sharing.”
It is also known that the serial electric car will be more powerful than the prototype, which debuted in 2020. Power increased from 109 to 150 hp. The maximum speed will be 150 km/h, and the cruising range will be about 450 km.
Overall dimensions of the car are 4400 x 1800 x 1660 mm with a curb weight of 1690 kg.
