Kamala advances in six of seven key states, Bloomberg poll shows

In the United States, Democratic Vice President and pre-candidate for the White House for the party, Kamala Harris, has advanced in voting intentions against Republican Donald Trump in six of the seven key states, since President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race, according to a Bloomberg News/Morning Consult survey published on Tuesday (30).

The poll – conducted online between July 24 and 28 – shows Harris has an 11 percentage point lead over Trump in Michigan, while in Arizona, Wisconsin and Nevada she leads by two points. Trump leads Harris in Pennsylvania by four points and in North Carolina by two points. In Georgia, they are tied.

Wisconsin is the only one of seven states where Trump has narrowed his lead over Kamala compared to Biden’s performance in previous polls.

Tuesday’s poll has a margin of error of three percentage points in Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania; four percentage points in Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin; and five percentage points in Nevada.

In a Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll conducted July 1-5, Trump led Biden in Arizona by three percentage points; in Georgia by one point; in Nevada by three points; in North Carolina by three points; and in Pennsylvania by seven points. Biden led in Michigan by five points and in Wisconsin by three points, the poll showed.

The margin of error in the July 1-5 poll was 3 percentage points in Georgia and Pennsylvania; 4 percentage points in Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin; and 5 percentage points in Nevada.
