US President Joe Biden plans to seek a second term in the 2024 election, according to his running mate Kamala Harris. “He plans to run and if he does, I plan to run with him,” Harris told CBS television today. Biden will be 81 years old in the November 2024 election. There has been speculation in Washington about whether he will actually run again.
In polls, less than 40% are now satisfied with the Democrat’s performance. That’s worse than his Republican predecessor, Donald Trump, at this point in his presidency.
The 76-year-old continues to hint that he may run again in 2024, but has yet to officially declare his candidacy. Trump had lost to Biden in the November 2020 election. However, he never accepted his defeat.
Even at a campaign appearance in the US state of Anchorage, Trump left open on Saturday night whether he would run. He simply announced, “We’re going to take back our wonderful White House.” Trump repeated his debunked claim that he was cheated out of winning the 2020 election.
