US Vice President Kamala Harris attacked Donald Trump in a speech at the Democratic National Convention and said he wants to become an autocrat.
She noted that “dictators like Kim Jong-un” are rooting for Trump because “they know he is easy to manipulate.”
“They know Trump won’t hold autocrats accountable because he wants to be an autocrat,” he added.
Foreign policy, NATO and wars
Kamala Harris also said she will ensure the US has the strongest and most lethal fighting force in the world.
Furthermore, he pointed out that he will ensure that the United States wins the “21st century competition” with China, citing artificial intelligence.
The Democrat then also spoke about the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), pointing out that Trump is encouraging Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, to invade US allies.
“As president, I will stand firmly with Ukraine and our NATO allies,” he noted.
Regarding the war in the Gaza Strip, Kamala pointed out that she and Biden are working tirelessly and that “now is the time” to complete the ceasefire agreement and release of hostages.
“I will always defend Israel’s right to defend itself and I will always ensure that Israel has the ability to defend itself, because the people of Israel must never again face the horror that the terrorist organization called Hamas caused on October 7,” he said.
Still, the vice president stressed that what has happened in the Gaza Strip in recent months is “devastating,” with a scale of suffering that is “heartbreaking.”
“I will never hesitate to take whatever action is necessary to defend our forces and interests against Iran and Iranian-backed terrorists,” he added.
