In a video published by X17 Online, the American rapper, entrepreneur and fashion designer confirms that he intends to run for the presidency of America.
The video begins with a cameraman following West and far-right, controversial journalist Milos Yiannopoulos into a warehouse.
“This is Milo here, working on the campaign,” says Kanye West. “Is this an announcement?” someone asks, while Yiannopoulos laughs and replies, “I guess it is.”
“Thanks, I accept,” West laughs. He then takes a tour of the warehouse, where a line of clothing branded ‘YE24’ appears to be being created.
“So you’re going to run?” the cameraman asks.
“Yes” says o rapper, as reported by the Athens News Agency. “It’s simple, because nobody can tell me, you know, ‘you have to say this, you shouldn’t say that,’ you know?” We are simply moving towards the future,” he emphasizes.
West, who returned to Twitter last weekend, has recently been embroiled in controversy over a series of anti-Semitic comments in his posts on the social media platform.
The rapper previously ran unsuccessfully for the US presidency in the 2020 election season.
