The President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, visited earlier today, the Coast Guard-Hellenic Coast Guard Headquarters, at the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy and after laying a wreath at the monument to fallen members of the House, was informed about his work and mission.

Afterwards, Ms. Sakellaropoulou went to the Maritime Traffic Monitoring Center and the business centers and had a telephone conversation with a boat operating in the area of ​​Kos. During their conversation, the President of the Republic wished the governor and the crew happy holidays and good strength in their important mission.

Concluding her visit, Ms. Sakellaropoulou said she was proud of our Coast Guard, which is coping with great success in its difficult mission, controlling our seas and the country’s maritime borders, saving human lives and effectively dealing with every challenge and threat. .

In particular, in a statement, the President of the Republic stressed:
