For a first time it seems perfectly successful. Kate and Princess Anna took part in the first joint date on the occasion of the inauguration in London of the headquarters of two institutions of which the two are respectively “patron”, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Royal College of Midwives.
Very elegant, Kate wore an ivory suit by Self-Portrait featuring an embroidered jacket, cinched at the waist with a belt, and a straight skirt that reaches the calf. Throwing an eye to the original on the brand’s website (price 475 euros), it seems to be a sartorial creation. The skirt appears longer than that of Anna who in turn wore a very chic petrol blue suit already seen in her portrait for her 70 years used in thank-you cards for the greetings received. One could speak of a form of respect reserved for princess royal but in reality, with increasing responsibilities within the family and the milestone of 40 years, Kate’s skirts have lengthened by a few inches.

Chris JacksonThe two showed up with a monochromatic look that they have accessorized in a different way. The Duchess did not give up on the jewels. For the occasion, she preferred to draw from her personal collection by choosing the pendant with the freshwater pearl of Monica Vinader still available on the site for about 90 euros and the signature pearls Annoushka hung on Kiki McDonough gold and diamond hoops, in its casket for at least ten years. Anna instead opted for a pair of small diamond-shaped earrings, entrusting the task of livening up the outfit to the pashmina ton sur ton.
The photographs taken on the street tell of one of the new combinations between the members of the royal family who, inevitably, find themselves having to face all the appointments foreseen by the calendar of the British monarchy in a post-Covid era and with an increasingly less handsome queen. Kate and Anna proved to be a far from strange couple. Although on paper their style choices seemed so distant, for their debut together they found instead a great harmony.
