The first photo shows the Princess of Wales up a tree with the prince Georgenine years old, Princess Charlotte, seven, and the prince louis, four. In the other Kate is holding the youngest member of the family. “Happy Mother’s Day from our family to yours,” reads the message from the Prince and Princess of Wales accompanying the images on Instagram.

The photos were taken last year by the photographer Matt Porteous at Anmer Hall, the country home of the Prince and Princess of Wales in Norfolk. From the clothes worn, it seems that they were taken during the same session as the last Christmas greetings.

Princess Charlotte wears a denim jumpsuit from the Spanish brand Ball, which we have already seen in the Christmas card. Prince George is wearing Trotters shorts and a Ralph Lauren polo, while Prince Louis is wearing Trotters trousers. Kate Middleton is wearing a MiH Jeans blouse and white Superga trainers.
