Kate Middleton And Anne of England, what an unusual duo! The Duchess of Cambridge and the Princess Royal, second child of Queen Elizabeth and her husband Philip, they participated in a public engagement together, one of the few since Middleton married Prince William in 2011. More than a noble cause, a visit to two organizations that deal with women’s health.
Kate Middleton and Anna of England.
WPA PoolPrincess Anne has been patroness of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) for over twenty years, while Kate has chaired the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) since 2018. The two organizations are located in the same London neighborhood, a new hub dedicated to maternity and women’s health, so Kate and Anna took advantage of a joint visit. The commitment of the two was reaffirmed on the occasion of the visit: both, moreover, have always had the family environment at heart.
It was not, in reality, the very first outing together. The two had already seen each other alone in 2012, on the occasion of the London Olympics. To unite them, apparently, little: a royal title, that of Lady of the Grand Cross of the Victorian Order, conferred by Queen Elizabeth for her services to the Crown and a life of “service”. The personal ties between the two are less well known. Respect, no doubt, but no one has ever thought about how close or close their relationships are. Except for events together with other family members, it is difficult for their paths to cross.
Princess Anne, however, has recently made no secret of her sympathy for the younger members of the family, as she hinted in a documentary broadcast by ITV entitled Anne: The Princess Royal at 70 . “When I was young, I didn’t have them right away pressures which today the young royal, especially women, are submitted. A pressure that becomes stronger with the passage of time, because it is always in them that the media are interested. In my day it was easier to escape, also because social media did not exist ». Impossible to blame her. If when she was young she ended up in her love affairs and little else today is all perpetually illuminated. Kate, for her part, immediately proved to have the right temper. That of the future queen.
