Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, remained in Windsor while her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were on their first day of school, Kensington Palace said in a statement.
Her husband Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, traveled to Balmoral Castle in Scotland after it was announced that doctors were concerned about the health of Queen Elizabeth II.
Other members of the Royal Family, such as the monarch’s eldest son and heir, Charles – now King Charles III -, his wife Camilla and Princes Andrew and Edward were also there.
Catherine, known as Kate Middleton, married William in 2011. The couple has three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The family lives in Adelaide Cottage, a four-bedroom property on the grounds of Windsor Castle, Berkshire, about 40 kilometers from London. The Cambridges’ London home, Kensington Palace, will remain the family’s main residence, however, a royal source told CNN In August.
