Kate Middleton makes first public visit after completing chemotherapy

Princess Kate Middleton and Prince William traveled to the city of Southport this Thursday (10), marking Kate’s first public visit since completing chemotherapy.

They visited a community center to meet first responders who responded to the knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in July 2020. Three girls were killed and others were injured.

The case sparked riots after false reports online wrongly said the attack had been carried out by an Islamic migrant.

Thursday’s visit was one of the first engagements Kate has made since she began slowly returning to work after finishing preventative chemotherapy for cancer, and it was her first in public since then.

Kate noted that she had completed preventive chemotherapy for cancer in early September, saying the treatment gave her a new perspective and made her grateful to “simply love and be loved.”

Wife of the heir to the throne, Prince William, she underwent major abdominal surgery in January, which revealed the presence of cancer, and has been undergoing treatment since then.
