Kate Middleton thanks frontline workers on her 39th birthday

On her 39th birthday, the duchess of Cambridge; Kate Middleton took out time to appreciate the workers who have devoted, and are devoting their time and effort in serving the community during the Coronavirus pandemic. 

A heartfelt message was uploaded on the official Instagram account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge addressing the frontline workers, with the caption “Thank you for your kind wishes on The Duchess’ birthday. Birthdays have been very different in recent months, and our thoughts continue to be with all those working on the front line at this hugely challenging time.” 

Even before this, the royal family has showed their gratitude towards the frontline workers several times. The prince and the duchess shared a video back in March 2020 thanking the doctors. Nurses, carers, pharmacists and the rest of the NHS staff for working tirelessly. 

In May 2020, on International Nurses day, the royal couple again paid tribute to the nurses worldwide with a social message. 

“It’s just shown how vital the role that nurses play across the world, so you should be so proud of the work that you do and thank you very much from all of us,” Kate told nurses in the Bahamas during a video call. 

While the Dutchess was kind enough to acknowledge and thank the efforts of the healthcare workers, the royal family wished the Duchess a happy birthday and well wishes. 

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, tweeted, “Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Cambridge!” while Queen Elizabeth‘s Twitter account posted the message, “Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a very happy birthday today! #HappyBirthdayHRH. (sic)”. 

Prince William on the other hand has opened up about his parenting saying that he along with Kate talk to their children Prince GeorgePrincess Charlotte, and Prince Louis about the sacrifices that the NHS has been making to ensure the safety of the people during the pandemic. 

“You’re all in my thoughts and Catherine and I, and all of the children, talk about all of you guys every day” He said in a video call with London hospital staff. 

“We’re making sure the children understand the sacrifices that all of you are making.” 

He furthermore said, “A huge thank you for all the hard work, the sleepless nights, the lack of sleep, the anxiety, the exhaustion and everything that you are doing, we are so grateful. Good luck, we are all thinking of you.”
