Princess Kate Middleton of the United Kingdom visited a unit for mothers and babies at HMP Styal, a prison and institution for young offenses on Tuesday (11).
During the visit, Kate met with arrested women.
There, it was informed by the team about the services they provide to mothers incarcerated with children under 18 months.
“I think the princess’s visit today as our patron… For our team was very significant for them and the work they do,” said Amanda Taylor, HMP’s operating director of children’s services.
Taylor also stressed that the women Kate visited became “enchanted” for meeting her.
