Carolynne Hunter is the mother of 12-year-old Freya, who has severe cerebral palsy and relies on life support to stay alive. The situation for both has not been easy, not only because of the little girl’s medical condition, but also because Carolynne has to take care of everything on her own, since she is a single mother. To this is added a strong warning for the payment of the electricity bill, which exceeded seven thousand dollars.
Carolynne was so overwhelmed by the situation that she turned to the local media for help and even started a GoFundMe petition. Incredibly, actress Kate Winslet joined the cause, donating nearly $20,000.
