The head of ARK Invest said that the ex-CEO of FTX has always disliked Bitcoin for its decentralized nature.
According to Catherine Wood, Bitcoin did not slow down during the crisis, provoked by opaque centralized players, and Sam Bankerman-Fried did not like it:
“Bankman-Fried doesn’t like Bitcoin because it’s transparent and decentralized and he couldn’t control it.”
Despite the crisis of large companies, the CEO of ARK Invest
configured optimistic about the cryptocurrency market:
“We believe that DeFi will get a boost from the crisis, because now it is clear that investors will choose a decentralized and transparent path.”
The crypto enthusiast radiates positive: decentralized financial systems publish their indicators, which say that DeFi is developing effectively. Thanks to the crisis, investors have learned how important fully transparent decentralized networks are for the future of financial services. Wood noted that unlike DeFi, Celsius and 3AC were closed, opaque networks. Therefore, investors could not see what was happening to their assets.
“When centralized crypto companies went bankrupt, investors who invested in transparent distributed networks were able to withdraw their assets in time. They saw what was happening. Even those who used a large margin leverage were able to survive, ”said the head of ARK Invest.
Ark Invest, after a long break in November, again bought Bitcoin Trust shares. The purchase cost $2.8 mn and demonstrated to the market the positive expectations of the portfolio investor.
