The singer Katy Perry 39, praised Madonna during an interview given to The Project, on the Australian broadcaster Network 10. The conversation aired on Wednesday (25).
The voice of “Firework” and “Wide Awake” defended the thesis that All female artists should be grateful to the veteran and stated that just keep making music approaching 40 years old thanks to the queen of pop .
“All [artista] “A woman still has to keep saying ‘thank you’ to Madonna. I’m 40 years old and I can still make music because of Madonna,” she said.
Katy also said that her relationship with the singer of “Like A Prayer” and “Hung Up” goes back a long way and revealed that she received a little help from the queen of pop to become a hit at the beginning of her career. Madonna sang a part of “Ur So Gay” during a radio show and helped boost the song.
“She literally screamed my song and that was really early in my career. That was what started me off,” the singer recalled. “Madonna was really nice to me. Well, it took a minute because she was testing me, but then she was really nice to me.”
Crowd in Brazil
Less than a week after the presentation of Katy Perry node Rock in Rio 2024 World Stage a producer for the singer was impressed when he shared a video from the festival, in which the audio of the crowd singing the song in chorus “California Gurls” is isolated.
“Here’s some fun audio from a perspective you wouldn’t normally hear from a crowd. This is just the microphone pointing at the audience at the front of the stage. If you’re on stage, this is the sound that comes to you,” wrote Kristopher Pooley, who is part of the artist’s team.
