After performing one of the biggest shows of the festival Rock in Rio 2024 the singer Katy Perry 39, released behind-the-scenes footage of the performance in Brazil. In a video showing all the preparations, she appears rehearsing (including with Cyndi Lauper) with the dancers and the megastructure prepared for the event. The pop artist was the headliner on Friday (20), marked as Their Day.
“It takes a village (and very little sleep) to make something like Rock in Rio happen on the same day you release an album,” Katy Perry wrote on her Instagram profile.
During her performance, Katy Perry was suspended in the air, placed a giant inflatable butterfly on stage and brought many dancers. At one point, she even invited Cyndi Lauper, who also performed on Women’s Day, to sing her hit “Time After Time”. For everything to happen, the singer needed hours of rehearsal.
In addition to receiving a giant ID after her performance at Cidade do Rock, the artist also mentioned that the festival’s audience was the “loudest I’ve ever heard”.
