Less than a week after the presentation of Katy Perry node Rock in Rio 2024 World Stage a producer for the singer was impressed when he shared a video from the festival, in which the audio of the crowd singing the song in chorus “California Gurls” is isolated.
“Here’s some fun audio from a perspective you wouldn’t normally hear from a crowd. This is just the microphone pointing at the audience at the front of the stage. If you’re on stage, this is the sound that comes to you,” wrote Kristopher Pooley, who is part of the artist’s team.
When leaving Brazil, Katy Perry had already praised the commitment of Brazilian fans in participating in the show. “They sang so loud at the show yesterday, it was the loudest I’ve ever heard them sing my songs,” she said in a video.
Katy Perry was the main attraction to perform at Rock in Rio on Friday (20), which was given the title of Women’s Day, for bringing together a mostly female line-up.
Closing the night on the Palco Mundo, the artist announced her new album “143” sang hits, danced alongside a fan and invited the singer back to the stage Cyndi Lauper.
