Kayky Brito was confirmed in the production of “A Caipora”, six months after being run over in Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro. The actor recovered after being hospitalized for 27 days and undergoing several surgeries and treatments.
The film by Reinaldo Guedes, directed by Bellamir Freire, will have a cast with José Trassi, Camilla Camargo, Pedro Pauleey, Nill Marcondes, among others. This will be the return of Kayky Brito to the big screen after his recovery.
In February, the actor participated in the launch of “Cedo Too Soon”, a film recorded in 2019, before the accident.
Kayky Brito was hit by a car while crossing the street on September 2, 2023. Brito was with his friend and fellow actor, Bruno de Luca, who at the time did not realize who the victim of the collision was.
The actor was in the ICU due to multiple head trauma and his serious condition. Brito was sedated and breathing with the help of mechanical ventilation for 11 days, in addition to undergoing some procedures, such as surgery to fix a fracture in his pelvis and right arm.
