The delegate of the 16th Police Station of Rio de Janeiro, Ângelo Lages, gave details to the CNN of actor Kayky Brito being run over, in Barra da Tijuca, early this Saturday (2).
Kayky is hospitalized in serious condition at the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon, with polytrauma and head trauma.
In an interview with CNN, the delegate explained that the actor was at the Quiosque Dona Maria, at post 6, on Barra beach, with actor Bruno De Luca and other friends.
Kayky went to get some belongings in his car and, on returning to the kiosk, he was run over on Avenida Lucio Costa, at number 4700, at 1:08 am this Saturday.
According to Lages, the car, a Fiat Argo, was an app driver that took a passenger, with a baby, from Recreio dos Bandeirantes to Barra da Tijuca.
The driver even tried to divert to the right lane, but was unable to avoid the actor.

The police requested expertise from the site and are trying to find out if the driver was traveling at a speed higher than the speed allowed for the stretch.
The State Secretariat of Military Police reported that police officers from the 31st BPM responded to the incident. The case was registered in the 16th PD as culpable bodily injury, when there is no intention.
“The driver was taken to the 16th DP and to the IML to carry out a blood alcohol test, which was negative for drinking alcohol,” the PM said in a note.
Kayky, who is 34 years old, was taken to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon, in the south of the city. The hospital management informed the CNN that the state of health of the actor is considered serious. The delegate said that the actor had “body polytrauma and head trauma”.
The Civil Police informed in a note to the CNN that “diligence is being carried out to clarify the facts”.
Brother of actress Stefhany Brito, Kayky debuted as a child actor in 2000, playing the orphan Fabrício, in the fifth season of the telenovela Chiquititas.
He then went to TV Globo, where, in 2002, he debuted in the role of Zeca, one of the protagonists of the soap opera “O Beijo do Vampiro”, in which he starred with Tarcísio Vieira and Flávia Alessandra.

The following year, in 2003, she played one of her most successful roles, Bernadete (and Bernardo), in the telenovela “Chocolate com Pimenta”.
“One of the mysteries of the plot revolves around Bernardete (Kayky Brito), the adopted daughter of Jezebel (Elizabeth Savala). When she became pregnant, Jezebel fell ill and made a promise to Saint Bernadette: she would dedicate her daughter to the saint. As she ended up losing the child, she decided to adopt a girl to fulfill her promise. Her maid Cândida (Yeda Dantas) had a son and, not being able to give the boy a good upbringing, she decided to take him to be adopted by her boss, keeping the baby’s true gender a secret ”, recalls Memória Globo. The “mystery” about Bernadette and Bernardo’s revelation is only revealed at the end of the plot.

Throughout the 2000s, he also participated in soap operas such as “Sete Pecados”, “Cobras & Lagartos” and “Passione”.
In 2012, he played Jesus Christ in the 16th staging of the show “A Paixão de Cristo”, at the Interlagos Circuit, for thousands of people.
He participated in foreign films, such as “Karaoke Noir: the End of Fun” and “American Thief”, in 2018. In 2019, he made the soap opera “Verão 90”, on TV Globo, and, in 2021, “Genesis”, on Record .
